deperately need help finding club

I'm from Detroit, but I will be visiting Green Bay in a week. My GF in Green Bay wants to take me to a club in Milwaukee, but doesn't know the area at all. I haven't been to Milwaukee since I lived in Waukegan ten years ago.

Anyway, she wants to take me to a club she heard was THE goth club for WI. It's called Sanctuary, and I can't find ANYTHING but an address on google maps. Can anyone tell me anything about it? If I can't go there, would Mad Planet on a retro Friday night be a fair second?

Hello Milwaukee-Tribe-Peeps!

Last night an altercation broke out at Tangerine and my friend got caught in the middle of it and tried to help break it up. SHE was not involved beyond that but the bouncer grabbed her throat, choked and restrained her while the owner Thomas Wackman punched her in the jaw 4 times! This is a matter of public record as Mr. Wackman has now been charged with two counts of assault and battery.

I for one refuse to put one more dime in WOMAN BEATERS pocket!

Just checked this place out Monday night and thought I would share. They offer 101 Flavors to choose from and $1.00 Martini's on Monday nights with a $3.00 cover. Kind of a dark place, decent music but cool. (It's on 5th and National)

They need your support. They need your love. But, most of all, they need your *tips* so be generous and be kind. We're all working adults here.

This thread's for alcohol-related entertainment. Where do you go for cocktails and why?

For me:

*Onopa Brewing Co. - MMMM... delicious micro-brewery beer. It's all about the Nut Brown. Oh... and the music.

*Mad Planet - The only unpretentious dance club I've found in Milwaukee.

*Landmark Lanes - Dirt cheap drinks, of course. Also, the place is huge so it's easy to find someone you know or avoid someone if necessary.

*Hi-Hat - Martini's when I want to get my swank on.

*Cactus Club - For shows strictly. It's not much for just hanging-out at, but they get a lot of good bands that don't play elsewhere in the city.

Milwaukee Style

I'm just curious what everyone thinks about style in Milwaukee. So, here's a few topics I'm interested in:

1) What should one wear out? What should one not wear out?

2) Do you think it's ridiculous for a club to have a 'dress code' in Milwaukee? And by that I mean a dress 'cool' code, not like you have to wear a tie.

3) Are there fashion genres anymore? I know there's still a handful of true goths or punks or whatever, but it seems like most people blend many different styles.

4) Where to shop?

How is that possible? No, seriously, what do you do for entertainment when not at a bar. Personally I can't think of anything except movies at the Oriental or the Times (Friday Night Freak Show).
