Is it just me or does everyone fear that winter might never end when it snows so close to the beginning of Spring? I love this city, but I'd love it a lot more if winter were about a month shorter.

Re: More winter!?!?
Fri, March 19, 2004 - 6:30 AMwinter is too long.
but i loved the snow. big, beautiful flakes, falling slowly, swirling. landing on the trees and power lines to redefine our space.
and best of all, it's not like a december snow. there's no christmas at our throats, no 4 more months of winter, no wondering when it will melt and if we'll get more.
it was the perfect snow! -

Fri, March 19, 2004 - 8:01 AMThat's a beautiful way of looking at it. I guess I was too quick to panic, as it's all melted now and it's beautiful out today.

Tue, March 23, 2004 - 3:50 PMSorry, Chris. I'm that weirdo that actually likes winter. Now if summer was a month shorter... :-)
Actually, if I had it my way, our longest season would be fall. Or at the very least, it would be longer than the falls we've had recently. -

Re: More winter!?!?
Wed, March 24, 2004 - 10:18 AMI'm a big fan of Fall, myself. Since we're dreaming about improving the seasons here... Six months of Fall and no winter sounds just about perfect to me. And by that I mean Milwaukee Fall where it ocassionally snows or gets bitter cold. -

Re: More winter!?!?
Wed, March 24, 2004 - 11:35 AMHmm. No good for me. I'd much prefer 6 months of Fall and no summer, just a nice warm (60s) spring.
If you get your summer, I get my winter. :-)
